Helping Hands and Nourishing Souls at Emmaus House. Fourth Annual Empty Bowl Event. Emmaus House served 30,000 meals to over 1,000 homeless and hungry men, women and children in 2012. For many, this was their only meal of the day. Our laundry and shower facilities were used over 600 times during the year. We gave out coats, jackets, scarves, hats and gloves to more than 100 people and provided blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. In 2012, we had over 3,600 volunteer hours given! .

While much of the produce on our menu was grown by us on Williamson Lowcountry Farms, this endeavor would not be possible without a spirit of cooperation and a commitment to excellence upheld by many local purveyors.
